Collection: Scindapsus

Scindapsus plants, native to Indonesia, thrive in warm, humid environments with tropical rainforest conditions. They flourish in areas with filtered sunlight, as direct sunlight can scorch their leaves. High humidity levels, typically above 50%, are essential for their growth, replicating their natural forest understorey habitat. These plants prefer well-draining, nutrient-rich soil with organic matter to mimic the forest floor.

Temperatures between 18°C to 30°C (64°F to 86°F) suit them best, as they are sensitive to cold drafts and extreme temperature fluctuations. Scindapsus plants are climbers or trailers, relying on trees or surfaces for support in their native environment. In cultivation, providing moss poles or trellises can help replicate this natural growth pattern.

Regular watering is crucial but should avoid waterlogging, as their roots are prone to rot in soggy soil. With their adaptable nature, Scindapsus plants make excellent houseplants when their native conditions are imitated indoors.
